While strides have been made in our understanding of risk management of information assets, the security threats and everchanging technology environment keeps us challenged. This talk presents an observation on the changing landscape of security threats, organizational challenges, educational efforts in Canada, and future directions.
About the speaker:
Tejaswini (Teju) Herath is an Associate Professor of Information Systems in the Goodman School of Business at Brock University, Canada.
Her main research interests are information security and privacy focusing both on behavioral as well as management aspects. Her research appears in leading journals such as Journal of Management Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, Information Systems Journal, Journal of Business Ethics, Information Systems Management, and The Data Base for Advances in Information Systems, among others. She serves in editorial capacities on several journals and has served on committees in leading security conferences. Herath received her Ph.D. from the State University of New York Buffalo and holds an NSA certified Certificate in Information Assurance from SUNY Buffalo. She also holds MMIS, MSCE degrees from Auburn University, USA and a BE from Pune University, India.
